People often ask me how I got into this profession.
So here it is.
I was actually interested in hypnosis from the time I was a young teenager. At the age of 13, my mother had books on the subject lying around the house, and I read anything remotely interesting in those days. So I picked up works such as “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” by Joesph Murphy, “Psycho-cybernetics” by Maxwell Maltz, and of course “Think and Grow Rich” by Napolean Hill. I was fascinated by the possibilities hypnosis presented, and tried, mostly unsuccessfully, to hypnotize myself for a variety of issues. As I got older I continued my reading and practiced meditation and self-hypnosis.
Over the years I also took psychology classes at Northwestern University and the Adler Institute. Somewhere in mid-life I started searching around for a new career. I wanted to make a positive contribution to society, help people, be intellectually stimulated, and be able to earn a living. Eventually I found hypnosis, and went to Santa Fe to get extensive training in 1999. Soon after I opened my doors for business, and within 3 years I had a full-time practice.
“I am strongly committed to seeing clients get results. So I listen very carefully to what clients are saying in order to determine what self-limiting beliefs and thoughts may be interfering with their goals, then I design your session around your specific goals and needs.
I often include a range of proven hypnotic suggestions and positive imagery, as well as powerful NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) techniques, Parts Therapy and age progression. Mine is a personal, intuitive, spiritual approach.
Since I have trained with two different professional organizations (The National Guild of Hypnotists and The American Council of Hypnotic Examiners), I “have more tools in my toolbox” than those who hold memberships in just one organization. I can offer an eclectic mix of techniques, choosing from a myriad of methods those that I think will be the most effective for you, instead of being dependent upon just a few.
I believe you have more power over your life than you think, and that there is no benefit to dwelling on the past. I believe that your power lies in the present moment, and there is no greater testimony to the power of your beliefs than to witness what happens under hypnosis as beliefs are changed. In other words, by changing the beliefs you hold now, your future can be much brighter and more promising than your past.
I’d like to help you prove that to yourself through using the power of your own mind, the power of hypnosis. You can change your life for the better, and use your imagination for yourself, instead of against yourself.”

On Choosing a Hypnotherapist:
I invite prospective clients to confirm my credentials. Remember, anyone can say anything on a website, so make sure your hypnotherapist is certified with at least one professional organization. It is also helpful to ensure that your hypnotherapist has solid experience working with your particular issues. Training is important, but there is no substitute for years of experience working with a wide range of clients on various issues.
You might want to verify that any hypnotherapist you’ve been working with has been in business or is in business full-time, and has the years of hypnosis that they claim.
Please note that many new practitioners are starting their practices, and are using derivations of our name. Please be advised that they are in no way associated with us or the work that we do.
